Final Product & Evaluation

Image
This post will contain the image format (JPEG) of my final poster design for the Sunderland Culture project as well as my written evaluation of it too. My final product for this project (Sunderland Culture) is a poster design which presents 2 different landmarks of Sunderland that are important in its culture, way of life and social interaction. In this evaluation, I will go through the planning process, the meaning behind the poster and the way it was made in a brief presentation.   Planning, for me planning has never been an issue until recently due to having such an open brief about this project I had multiple ideas that I wanted to intertwine into my design overall but decided to pick one which was due tone. The due tone is a strong and very minimalistic style of creating a poster meaning regardless of the age gap between my audience everything will be decoded as planned by me, I wanted to create something unique but also representative of Sunderland, while looking at the "re

Production Diary

Production diary This is an informal post presenting all the information for my planning, production and photography for my project in a diary format. I go through production every week and will document it here with detailed notes/information. It will be a singular diary for all 2 different projects. 14/03/22 For this project planning everything in detail was a must because of the condition and previous experience over the years. Firstly I questioned how to present and observe my audience within this region, making everyone feel comfortable and welcome to work with my project and understand it. Due to that, I wanted to include popular landmarks known by the public, Hylton Castle and the Stadium of Light. Both playing an important part of a make's lifestyle and social life, football is the English cultural sport therefore the Stadium of Light and its club is the main focus for entertainment and representation of the city. 3 Steps I was following to make my poster well presented wer

Pre production - location scouting/release

The presented document is partially completed. This was the status before going to the destination. I will be photographing my model and the location landmark is well known as Hylton Castle, I will fill the rest of the form with relevant contact at the reception gates at Hylton Castle. This form privileges me to prove that I have the required permission to photograph content on the premises so that if an issue does arise around filming on their venue, I can back it up with the presented document.

Pre Production - Risk Assessment

Pre Production - Risk Assessment The requirement for risk assessments is to understand what could potentially go wrong when on set or while shooting production. This way, I and anyone working will be aware of potential hazards and educated enough to ensure that we can carry out safe practices if an issue occurs. In identifying these hazards, I can also prevent high chances of any risk happening because of them. A lot of these are now trivial or low risk consulting my co-workers for this project and lectures there will is an, unlike chance an incident will happen during the visit.

Pre Production - Equipment List

Pre Production - Equipment List Provisional equipment list before obtaining the items ill be using to create my Digital posters. All of the resources I will be using are closer to production time rather than planned a while back ago due to my timing the whole process wrong and preparing my potential team before going out and photographing. This way, there is better presentation and time management. During the first week of planning and was capable of obtaining everything I needed but I was double-checking every time I needed to go out and photograph required images.

Client Interpretation

The Client: Sunderland Culture The project is organized by this organization, Sunderland Culture. They are a registered charity that was founded in April 2016. The main focus is to bring together Sunderland's primary cultural assets and present creative potential in the northeast.  Their mission is to "improve life for everyone in Sunderland through culture". Sunderland Culture operates in multiple locations across Sunderland, such as National Glass Center, The Fire Station, and The Winter Gardens. The client was originally an idea that came to life with the help of Sunderland City Council, The University of Sunderland, and Sunderland MAC (Music Arts and Culture) trust. Where Does Sunderland Culture Operate: This map is of venues and projects that Sunderland Culture operates with. Looking at the map you can identify that they are located all over the northeast, therefore, appealing to a higher range of audience and people who live all over the northeast. The Primary place
